The Light Fantastic Children’s Workshops and Festival 

  

In November 2009 we received a grant from the v Project Young Volunteer Grants Scheme and Global Radio partnership to produce a series of workshops for children in creative art, animation and special effect film, to be screened at a special mini Film Festival in April at the Plough Arts Centre in Torrington. The workshops, run by talented volunteers of 16-19 under the aegis of writers, artists and film-makers, have proved both popular and successful: pictures from the first series can be seen HERE .
We are about to begin two new series in Instow and Torrington: there are still spaces, so feel free to sign up if you’re between seven and fourteen and want to create an animation in which you can appear – or you want to learn about the film-making process from idea through storyboard and scripting to post-production and screening!
